Molendinvm et Dvplum Molendinvm

Español: Este tablero grabado de pizarra, está inspirado en los “molinos” grabados hallados sobre los antiguos pavimentos del mundo clásico, e interpretados como distendidos juegos de estrategia.

Molendinum: Hemos recreado este juego como una variante del actual tres en raya. Su diseño circular induce al despiste, todo un reto a nuestras mentes acostumbradas al juego en ángulos.

Duplum molendinum (Doble molino): Cada jugador debe realizar tantos molinos (3 en raya) como pueda, eligiendo la ficha del contrario que retira con cada molino formado. El ganador deja su al oponente sin fichas suficientes para hacer un molino.

Elegimos piedra y vidrio para reproducir el tacto y sonido de estas antiguas partidas de estrategia romanas que, de este modo, recrean mucho mejor el ambiente de la época.

English: This double engraved slate board is inspired by the “mills” found over the ancient pavements discovered from all over the Classical World; interpreted as distended row games.

Molendinum: We have recreated this game as a variant of “three on a row”. Its circular design is somewhat baffling; a challenge to our minds used to play at angles.

Duplum Molendinum (Double mill): Based on getting the highest number of ‘mills’ (i.e. three on a row), lined vertically or horizontally. With each ‘mill’ made, the player may choose the opponent's piece to remove from the board. The winner leaves his opponent without enough chips to make a mill.
